I'm delighted to have finally put some quilts and table runners in my Etsy shop!
The latest editions are two table runners that I recently made. The first is made of rather folksy prints.
The second is made with batik fabrics, giving it an exotic look and feel:

Nico's Woodland Babies
My newest Grandson, Nicolas Jonathan Jaeger, was born on February 9, 2016. I was just finishing his quilt and took it out to California with me when I went to spend some time with him and his mom and dad. It was such a wonderful visit. Nico is a very sweet baby and I spent hours cuddling with him.
The theme for his room is woodland babies, so I made a quilt for him that fit that theme.
I quilted the borders using my long arm machine and then did free motion quilting around the animals using my regular sewing machine.

Big flowers
I'm so happy to have finished a quilt I pieced a couple of years ago using Kaffe Fassett fabrics. I love the huge, colorful florals and the geometric designs that accent the floral colors so well.
It is quilted with a design called Brocade Fans.

Roses on Roses
Today I finished a quilt that has been a work in progress for a couple of years--I purchases the fabric in Paducah, KY, while attending a quilt show there. When I was in the process of purchasing my long arm quilting machine, I put the top together, thinking it would be a good practice piece when my machine arrived. When I started using the machine, I had more current projects to quilt and this top was forgotten for a time. Now that I have time to go through my "collection", I have rediscovered it and finished it.
My dad was a rose lover--he grew hundreds of beautiful blooms, especially when he retired and moved to Oregon, so this quilt is a special tribute to him.
The pattern I used to quilt it is also roses--perhaps you can see it better on the back:

Blues
My friend loves blues and commissioned me to make a quilt for her. She went with me to choose the fabrics and the pattern and then I went to work to create the quilt.
The back of the quilt is lovely too.
Boo, the cat, reportedly always looks for the coziest place in the house, and was very happy with the new addition!

My Birds
My appliqued birds quilt is finally finished! I used a pattern called In the Meadow as the basis for the birds, although, with the help of a friend, I shrank the patterns by about 80%. I also added the half square triangles as sashing between the squares.
The borders were quilted using my long arm machine and then quilting in the bird squares was done on my regular sewing machine.
The whole quilt:

I am enjoying the monthly Seasonal Sundays class at Touch of Amish quilt shop in Barrington, IL. The creative ladies there present a new project for each class and provide a kit of pre-cut fabrics, so we can just sit and sew and chat...
On Sunday we made a table runner with pieced hearts in lovely themed fabric. I added a border to mine and then quilted it using a Valentine hearts pattern. It's the perfect size for the top of my piano!

I recently completed a quilt for my grandson Emmett. It's a twin bed sized quilt and it celebrates his love of animal, especially farm animals.
The animals were hand appliqued and then the sashings and borders were pieced. I quilted it on my Statler (long arm), using a program that stitched farm animals.
