Quilt for the guest room

I have made so many quilts for others that the beds in my house have been "quiltless" until recently. I finished a quilt this Fall for the bed in the guest room, just in time for Hetty's visit from Holland and then Rob's visit for the holidays.

 

I found the pattern and fabric for this quilt when I was in Paducah, KY for Quilt Week in April 2013 and started sewing in on the antique Singer sewing machine that I bought while I was there.

 

 I got involved in a couple of other projects after I got home, but finally finished the quilt in October. I did a little custom quilting on it, using an edge to edge program for the center and then a feather border pattern. I love having one of my quilts on a bed in my house! Some day I will get one made for Jim and my bed...
